At Sharkey and Friends we strive to bring high-quality health coaching to underserved communities in London who wouldn't be able to normally access such services.  Our network of coaches help us make this happen, but we wouldn't be able to offer subsidised coaching to charity partners if it weren't for private clients. The model is simple, we offer fair rates to coaches, offer private coaching at a premium, and use extra funding received to subsidise coaching for charity partners.  ​When I work with private clients, I bring a premium service. I like to spend more time than many coaches especially at the beginning of working with a new client, to understand more than just superficially about their health history, baseline and goals, before crafting any interventions. This helps me tailor efforts for unique circumstances. ​Prior to a first booking, I usually suggest at least one exploration call to get into some of this detail. My formal yoga credentials are in hatha, vinyasa and ashtanga disciplines, and I have additional teaching certifications in movement biomechanics and in yogic breathwork/pranayama. Many clients also request some fusion to emphasise elements of wushu, tai chi, philosophy, meditation, or strength and resistance practices built into their sessions. I've included a couple questions about your yoga experience and objectives and then also some important health and safety questions in the booking form. If you do have an exploration call first, I'd hope to ask you in more depth about your broader health and wellness activities and relevant medical histories, as well as more about your yoga and other experiences and ambitions in relation to mind, body, planet and spirit health. My standard hourly private rate is £100. Priced per-class, not per-individual, for groups normally no more than five individuals. For larger groups, please contact me first as different pricing models apply. I offer a 20% impact premium for those who wish to subsidise charitable clients and I also offer a 20% discount for any clients under 30 or over 60, or for any critical workers or others in financial distress.  Looking forward to training with you, Gary
