Deep Conversations: where connection meets curiosity

Tired of networking events that feel surface‑level and all form and no substance? You’re not alone. Most traditional mixers leave us stranded in small talk—name, job, handshake—without the real connection we crave.

That’s where Deep Conversations comes in. We’re offering something different:

real, guided dialogue with thoughtful people, using Priya Parker’s “magical questions.” These prompts are powerful tools for building rapport.

Why this matters:

  • Most events get stuck at “What do you do?”

  • We go deeper, encouraging stories, reflection, insight.

  • That shift—sharing something unexpected or meaningful—builds genuine connection.

  • It’s not networking as usual. It’s purposeful, intimate, and generative.

What’s happening

Deep Conversations is a fresh series launched by Gary Sharkey & Claudie Plen-McCormack, designed for people craving meaningful interaction.

  • ✨ Guided small-group dialogue using curated “magical questions”

  • 📍 Secret London venue, revealed after booking

  • 📅 Launch: August 19th, 6:30–8:30 pm

  • 🎟️ Free to join (booking required)

  • 🍷 Drinks and snacks available to purchase

  • 💬 No pitches, no panels—just real talk and human warmth

Limited spots mean we can keep it personal and safe. It’s about creating space for thoughtful exchange, not crowd noise.

How do they work?

Priya Parker explains that a magical question succeeds when everyone is interested in answering it—and everyone is interested in hearing everyone else’s answer  . By sparking curiosity rather than obligation, these prompts help transform a room of strangers into listeners, storytellers, and co‑learners.

Who’s it for?

  • People who dislike talking about themselves in the usual networking way

  • Anyone who’s curious about others’ inner lives, choices, turning points

  • Creatives, professionals, introverts, extroverts—just bring curiosity

It’s a simple but intentional night of sharing and connection—for people who want more than business cards.

Want in?

Follow your curiosity and head to our event page to save a spot—spaces are limited:

We’re excited to go deeper with you. See you on August 19th.
